On November 2, 2008, I took a taxi from the Douglas C. Crane Boat Ramp on Shore Drive in St. Augustine, Florida to the Wal-Mart on U.S. Highway 1 in St. Augustine. I went to Wal-Mart to do my monthly shopping. I live on a sailboat and get a disability check each month. My disability is that my left leg has been amputated at the hip. I got to Wal-Mart and borrowed one of the store's battery-operated shopping carts – the type you sit down and drive.
I filled the basket with groceries and had to go back to the front of the store, where I emptied all the groceries into a regular shopping cart that I left at the front door, where the door greeter said she would keep an eye on my stuff until I was finished shopping. I continued shopping, once again filling the battery-operated cart. Once I was done shopping, I took the now full for the second time battery cart to the checkout. In the first cart, I had 110 items totaling $179.35. In the second cart, I had 42 items totaling $89.01. Grand total 152 items at $268.36. Everything went smoothly until I got back to the door greeter. At this point, I have one full shopping cart and one full battery cart. My plan was to drive the battery cart just outside the main entrance and ask for some assistance from the door greeter in getting the other shopping cart out to the sidewalk where I was going to wait for my taxi. You would think this would be no big deal, guess again!
I was informed at this point that Wal-Mart's policy states that you must remove everything from the battery cart and place them in a regular shopping cart before leaving the store. The door greeter could not leave her post to help me out the door, nor call for anyone else to help me. I was told I would have to empty the battery cart into a regular shopping cart and push my now paid for shopping out on my own. I don't consider myself to be a cripple, but I do have limitations. It is nearly impossible to walk on crutches and push, much less control, a shopping cart empty or full. Seeing that I wasn't going to get any help from the door greeter, I asked her to please call a store manager for me. Again, I was refused. I then had to leave my groceries unattended. I went over to ask a cashier if she would contact a manager for me. A few minutes later, a lady from customer service arrived only to tell me once again what Wal-mart's policy is when it comes to their battery-operated carts. At this point, I had had enough. I asked her to get me a manager. We went to customer service, where I met Rhonda, the assistant manager. I explained to Rhonda what was going on and that I really did not care for Wal-mart's policy and that it not only humiliated me as a handicapped person, but that it also showed that Wal-mart could care less about anybody once they have spent their money.
After Rhonda explained the store policy to me for the third time, it was time for her to start placing blame, first on the two cashiers who checked me out down to the door greeter. After she apologized to me and told me it wasn't her fault either, it was just store policy, she offered to push my stuff out herself. I refused and asked for a refund letting her know that Wal-mart would never have my business again.
I usually shop at Publix, where I am treated most kindly. For example, every Publix I have ever shopped at, if I need to use their battery carts to get my purchases out to my car or cab, someone in the store always follows me out and returns the cart for me. Rain or shine. Day or night.
It is just my opinion, but I feel that Wal-mart and its policy writers could care less about anyone once the money has exchanged hands.
Wake up, Wal-mart! This is America, have you forgotten about courtesy, kindness, and just plain human decency?
In the two months I have been visiting St.Augustine, my wife and I have met so many friendly and generous people living here. All in all, St. Augustine is a most caring and friendly city. It's a shame that a company as self-serving as Wal-mart has been allowed to set up shop here. Their only intention being to fleece the pockets of yet another community.

One law for the peasants and no laws for the elite? In America we are all equal: no titles, lords, kings, dictators or royalty. Ruth Bader Ginsburg, John Paul Stevens, Stephen Breyer and David Souter you have violated your oath, it's time to resign. You are all a disgrace to the Supreme Court, the Constitution, and America. Justice John Paul Stevens stated the majority "would have us believe that over 200 years ago, the Framers made a choice to limit the tools available to elected officials wishing to regulate civilian uses of weapons." Stating such evidence "is nowhere to be found." What? The evidence is plainly stated in the Second Amendment. The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. The purpose of the Second Amendment is to STOP any government regulation of arms. That covers all arms, not just guns. One needs to do a little history of quotes from the Framers of the Constitution and their intent will be perfectly clear.

I asked myself, how do I know if Barack Hussein Obama II was really born in the USA? I have never seen his birth certificate. I asked myself, what is the process to verify if a Presidential candidate was born in the United States? The answer, there is no verification process that requires a candidate to prove they were born in the USA. When an American asked Barack Hussein Obama II to prove in court that the candidate was born in the USA, the former was stonewalled and ridiculed. The Judge told him the case was frivolous; he had no right to even bring the question to court, and then dismissed the case. Now, before you start shouting, “Fact Check said it is real,” or “Snopes said it was real,” I read their report. Having Fact Check or Snopes verifying the authenticity is like asking MoveOn.org to check it out and carries the same validity of Wikipedia. If you check the facts on how they verified the document, you will find they didn't. They had a photographer looks at the birth certificate and he said it's real. Fact Check and Snopes did not have a forensic expert examine the document. The big question is why? A forensic expert has examined the evidence that is available; he stated the birth certificate is a forgery. The fact is, until you see Barack Hussein Obama II's birth certificate, you do not know if he was born in the USA. The fact is no one will ever see Barack Hussein Obama II's birth certificate. You see, Barack Hussein Obama II asked and got the governor of Hawaii to seal his birth certificate. Only Barack Hussein Obama II can obtain his birth certificate and when asked in court of law, he has refused. Producing a legal birth certificate for examination would put all this to bed once and for all. Barack Hussein Obama II has done everything humanly possible to see this will never happen. If an honest person is faced with court and has a document that would eradicate the whole mess, the honest person would produce the document in a split second. Even stranger, Barack Hussein Obama II had his records at Columbia University and Harvard Law School sealed. Sounds very fishy, not passing the smell test, something stinks here. This is what happened to the records from the Nuremberg trials, Lincoln's assassination, and Kennedy's assassination; you know, big, secret dirt that rats wanted to cover. What is Barack Hussein Obama II trying to hide? Judging by the actions of Barack Hussein Obama II, one can only conclude, these are the actions of a guilty man. Until Barack Hussein Obama II produces a birth certificate any person with at least one thinking brain cell will come to the same conclusion. All it will take to put this to rest is for Barack Hussein Obama II to produce a legal birth certificate. Remember, actions speak louder than words. We have been feed a lot of words, but no action, zero. So before you fire the hate email to me, know on this topic, I AM not interested in your words, opinions, beliefs, theories, anger or childish name-calling. I AM not a Barack Hussein Obama II hater. I AM only interested in the facts. I AM only interested in Barack Hussein Obama II producing his birth certificate.

It is pitiful people can no longer agree to disagree. This election has come down to who can generate the most hate for the other. A new level of hate has been reached, even surpassing the hatred of George Walker Bush. Is this what we have become? The game of divide and conquer is to keep the people distracted while they are ripped off and enslaved. Anyone notice the $700 billion missing? No? The very idea you have crossed some taboo line by stating Obama's full name Barack Hussein Obama II is beyond ridicules. Barack Hussein Obama II is Obama's full name.
